Executive Summary

This document describes the main instruments of project coordination and governance necessary to manage, monitor and control the PopEye project (Grant Agreement No 101168317). The handbook provides an overview of the main planning and management aspects of the project, including:

  • Project management structures, roles, responsibilities and processes;
  • Project schedule;
  • Internal communication procedures and tools for sharing and document sharing;
  • Dissemination rules and quality standards;
  • Periodic reporting;
  • Deliverables timetable and quality processes;
  • Exploitation procedures;
  • General software coding standards;
  • Ethics protocols

The project and quality management plan are defined in the form of a handbook with the primary goal of helping project participants understand the main processes and as a common agreement on procedures. It therefore fulfills two main functions: 1) it serves as a day-to-day operation manual by providing procedures for project activities; 2) it provides guidelines and conventions to standardize various elements of the project (e.g. project reports, deliverables, etc.) using agreed procedures and templates where relevant.

The handbook represents a dynamic document and will be updated as required throughout the project.
